Twilight Saga: Eclipse Report

First of all, a HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who attended our event. Because of you, the event was a success. We would also like to thank everyone who donated the door prizes. Here are some photos from the evening:

The line! Since it was the midnight show we had our own area to line up. Look at the crowd that came out to support our two great causes!

The basket full of raffle tickets!

This is one of our favorite shirts we saw on the people in our line.

People filing into the theater before the raffle.
Angie Stewart made these fabulous fobs. Thanks to everyone who purchased them in line at the theater. And thanks to Angie for donating them to us to sell.

The New Moon t-shirt quilt. Thanks to Joanna Peterson at Designs by Laura Jo for making and donating this quilt.

Sorry these photos aren't the greatest. They had already been wrapped by the donator, so we didn't want to undo them. But, inside are some really cute fabric key fobs. Thanks to Vicki Peterson for making and donating all 16 fobs!

Thank you to Sweetbriar Cove for donating 9 of these darling necklaces.

Thanks to Jenny Limb for making and donating 4 beaded bracelets.

And another thanks to Carrie Brown for donating this double-sided Minkee quilt.

Thank you to Marci and Angela for donating a Pressed Penny Scentsy warmer with Welcome Home and Pima Cotton Scentsy bars.

Gina also donated a Doodle Bug Scentsy warmer with Cinnamon Bear, Coconut Lemongrass, and Skinny Dippin' Scentsy bars.
Thank you again to everyone for donating the great door prizes, and to everyone who came to the event. We had so much fun putting this on for you guys! Without your generosity and donations, this would not have been nearly as successful.
THANK YOU
Also, we are considering doing this again in November, 2011 for Part 1 of Breaking Dawn, but would like your feedback. What do you think? Will you come to another Twilight party if we have it? Please leave your opinions in the comments on this post. Or, you can email us at coltonsangels@gmail.com
Thanks again!

April 2010 Meeting

Tonight we made 23 blankets for the kids in pediatrics at Mountain View Hospital.

We had previously had a HUGE stack of blankets, but got word a few weeks ago that Utah Valley Regional Medical Center (UVRMC) needed blankets desperately, so we took half (or more) of our blankets up to them.

We cut out hearts from coordinating fabrics and fused them onto the fleece blankets we had cut out. This week we will blanket stitch around them in matching thread.
We are hoping to be able to deliver these blankets, along with several other items, to Mountain View Hospital soon.

March's Meeting

Tonight we met at Gracie Lou's, our local fabric shop, and made some blankets for Fetal Demise.

Those who didn't want to sew made 14 "Thank You" cards. Aren't they so cute?!

The blankets were either double-sided flannel, or had flannel and minkee.

Here's a sampling of the blankets. We made 12 12" square blankets and 4 24" square blankets.

It was sad to think of what these pretty blankets would be used for, and we hope that the families who receive them can feel the love we put into them.

February's Meeting

Here are some pictures from our February meeting. We made gift baskets for the ICU waiting room at Mountain View Hospital, full of goodies like: crackers, water, granola bars, etc.
Here's one of the baskets.

A couple people brought their kids to the meeting, and they were starting to get a little tired, so we stopped to play with them for a minute.

Here's a close up of one of the baskets we made.
We had a lot of fun putting these baskets together for the families in the ICU waiting room. Next month we hope to get more things for the hospital done.

Ready for the New Year

We are so excited to get this year started! We have so many great projects, fundraisers, and events planned so far.

We will be offering a scholarship again this spring. We are also going to be participating in Festival of Trees again this December. We have several other great events in the works, and we will let you know more about them as details become available.

Also, if anyone is interested in joining our group, and are willing to make a commitment to attend meetings (we have 10 per year, July and December are off months), please email us at coltonsangels@gmail.com for more information/details, or if you have any questions.

We look forward to another great year full of friends, fun, fundraising, and some awesome events!
